GROUPS
We Exist to Assist

The NFCM, by its nature, is a servant organization.  Our motto "We Exist to Assist" means that we are here to support different types of groups with prayer, resources, events and services that assist new and existing groups.  While we provide a tempate for NFCM groups, we are here to support any group dedicated to evangelizing and making disciples of Catholic men or men of no faith at all.  We are part of the New Evangelization.

Here is how we define different groups:

1.  Discipleship Groups:  These groups are most typically PARISH based and focus on bible study, friendship, confidential sharing, spiritual topics, accountability, etc. This group might also belong to an affiliated national Catholic men's organization, ministry or apostolate but still want to affiliate with local men for discipleship.

2.  Fellowship Groups: These groups are most typically DIOCESAN or REGIONALLY based leadership teams who coordinate the creation, support and growth of discipleship groups in their particular geographic region. These leadership groups generally provide an annual or semi-annual event (usually a conference) for Catholic men in their diocese or region. If organized by the NFCM these are frequently referred to as Catholic Men's Fellowship groups or CMF's.

3.  National Groups: These are existing, autonomous orthodox Catholic Apostolates or Ministries who have their own outreaches to men.  The NFCM seeks to formally affiliate with these groups to better coordinate local impact and support mutually beneficial goals. Examples: Crossing the Goal, That Man Is You, Cursillo, St. Joseph Covenant Keepers, etc. The NFCM believes that a spirit of brotherhood permeates the relationships between these efforts and seeks to catalyze all the various charisms each group has been given by the Holy Spirit to build up each man and the Catholic Church as a whole.

4.  International Groups:  These are any Discipleship, Fellowship or National group which operates outside of North American but seeks to be affiliated with the NFCM.  Current examples include Ireland and Guyana.
